American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born November 8, 1967. She is best known for her roles in Melrose Place as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom , as well as a psychotherapist. Courtney at seven years old, divorced her father, Walter Smith. She was a part of both of her parents, at various times. Jennifer the older sister is an ad executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. In high school, she took part in performances with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her first film role in 1986's Lucas alongside Winona Ryder and Corey Haim. In the 1980s, she was a part of in a number of films like Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II : Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (87) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was a star in the box office hit Chairman of the Board , starring Carrot Top. Thorne-Smith was in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen lover from Melrose Place. The actress got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. The couple divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group the company that markets) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. On the 11th of January 2008, she turned 40 she gave birth her son, Jacob Emerson Fishman.
