Jessica Alba
Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress from the United States. She started her film and television appearances at the age of 13 with Camp Nowhere and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994), but rose to prominence at age 19 when she became the lead actress of the television series Dark Angel (2000-2002), which earned her an Golden Globe nomination. Honey (2003) was her first big screen appearance. She quickly became a Hollywood actress and has starred many hits in box office films which include Fantastic Four (2005). Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Good Luck Chuck (2007). The Eye (2008). Valentine's Day (2010). Little Fockers (2010). Mechanic: Resurrection (2016). She is a regular collaborator with Robert Rodriguez. Her roles include Sin City (2005). Machete (2010). Spy Kids All the Time in the World (2011). Machete Kills (2013). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014). Alba starred as L.A. Finest in Spectrum's action series. Alba was co-founder of The Honest Company in 2011, a company that sells personal, household baby, and household products. Magazines such as Men's Health and Vanity Fair have also included Alba in their lists. Jessica Marie Alba was born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981 to Catherine Louisa (nee Jensen) and Mark David Alba. Her mother is of Danish, Welsh, German, English and French ancestry, while her paternal grandparents, who were born in California, were both the descendants of Mexican immigrants. Joshua, her younger brother is also hers. Gustavo Arellano, who is also her third cousin, was once the Air Force pilot. Her father's Air Force career took her family to Biloxi in Mississippi and Del Rio Texas before she settled back in Claremont California when she was nine. Alba spoke of her family's conservative character as being a traditional Catholic as well as a Latin American family. However, she describes her own liberal views as she's identified herself as a feminist from the age of five.
