Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22nd 1975) is an American actress. She has received numerous awards which include the Screen Actors Guild Award Award and an Golden Globe. There have been five Emmy Award nominations as well as the BAFTA nomination and five Emmy Award nominations. She is a member of the Barrymore family of actors and the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore gained fame as a child actress through her role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. The Extra-Terrestrial was the result of a highly publicized early childhood characterized by drug and alcohol abuse, she published her autobiography Little Girl Lost. Then, she appeared in a number of successful films throughout the 1990s, including Poison Ivy Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore was in the spotlight with Adam Sandler in a few films, including The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Barrymore was a cult child actor with her character in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a troubled childhood filled with alcohol and drugs addiction, she wrote Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She appeared in a variety of hit films of the 1990s like PoisonIvy Boys on the Side and Mad Love.
