Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television personality and lingerie model. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and was the winner of the series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015 she has been presenting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy is the fourth child of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy and Geoff Thomas Clancy was born in Liverpool. Clancy grew up in Woolton which is a suburb of Liverpool, and attended St Mary's Primary School and St Julie's Catholic High School. Clancy was the founder of the girl group Genie Queen, who were managed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was among the 13 finalist on Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model, which saw her compete over 10 weeks to win an opportunity to model. Clancy and co-contestant Lianna fowler made it to final runway show, where they ultimately were crowned the runner-up. Clancy has appeared as a model in many magazines and newspapers since his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy posed in Arena magazine in the month of May 2007. He was featured on the cover with the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 edition of the swimsuit. Clancy was selected for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed wearing body paint for the magazine to appear as if she was wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photos. Clancy was included as a model in Umbro sportswear's campaign for 2010. Clancy was a model for Giles Deacon's Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign for July 2013. The editorial was by Absynth Photographyic, and the fashion film was directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also a model for the cover of August 2011 of UK Esquire shot by photographer Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013, Clancy was featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was on the cover British Marie Claire, July 2014, as well as British Elle, March 2015. Abbey Clancy was joined by her daughter Sophia Crouch and Lipsy, an London-based fashion designer to launch their AW'19 collections. The collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
